The Sydney Morning Herald가 인도네시아를 여행할 사람은 지카바이르스에 감염될 수 있으니 가임여성은 인도네시아 여행을 연기하거나 자제하라고 보도했고, 호주의 The Smart Travelers 웹사이트에는 인도네시아에서 모기에 물리지 않게 조심하라는 글을 올려 인도네시아에 지카바이르스가 만연한 걸로 잘못 알려졌는데 사실은 2015년 스코틀랜드 에던버러 출신 관광객 한명이 지카바이르스에 감염된 후 인도네시아에서는 지카바이르스 환자가 한명도 나오지 않았다고 합니다.
호주언론이 언급한 대만 경유 여행객 한명이 자바섬 출신 인도네시아인이라는 사실 외에 그가 인도네시아에서 지카바이르스에 감염됐다는 사실은 밝혀지지 않았다면서 인도네시아 보건당국에서는 지카바이르스에 감염된 사례가 작년 한명 외에는 더 이상 없었다고 발표했습니다.

The warning stated: "Given the possibility that Zika virus can cause severe malformations in unborn babies, and taking a very cautious approach, pregnant women should discuss any travel plans with their travel doctor and consider postponing travel to Indonesia."
Meanwhile, Indonesian Health Ministry officials are vehemently denying the Australian reports regarding the spread of the Zika virus in Bali.
Quoted by Temp.co, Oscar Primadi of the Indonesian Health Ministry said, "Indonesia is not endemic to Zika and that “Indonesia is also not an infected area."
Primadi’s statement was made on Saturday, June 18, 2016.
The Health Ministry official confirmed a single case of Zika in Indonesia that affected a citizen of Edinburgh in 2015. He said there is no laboratory proof of a single case of Zika existing in Indonesia at this time.
